MS Coding Reflection on Unit 1: HTML/CSS

Unit Overview: Learning to code is like learning a new language. A language that helps you to communicate with computers. In beginning coding we will learn the basic computer languages including HTML and CSS. These languages can be used to create your own webpage to be published online.

1) How can you use HTML and CSS language to create something to share with the world?

We use HTML and CSS language to code to make a website. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. We use HTML to CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. We use this to make the texts look nice and have more stylist. Doing this connects to the real world because if we have a job to code a website, this can be really helpful for our work. For example, teachers, Scientist, Graphic designer and  may want to have a website. Even though they are not computer scientists they will know how to code and make a website for their work. We use both of the language to create our own website for work. Usually, if your job is teacher, code your own website is best because you can make it look like the way that you want. Also, this is unique knowledge to  have because not many people know how to code or how to speak with your computer. If you know how to do this you can create a website and share that information with people all over the world through the internet.

3) Was your project: HTML

  • Learned the Most,

I learned the most in HTML. All the formulas that I need to know to be able to tell the computer, what I want to say and how it looks like by using both of this HTML and CSS language.

  • Most Interesting

I think the most interesting for me is to know that we can use HTML and CSS to talk with the computer and be able to create a website that is really useful for the future. The most interesting that I have learned is how to create font-size,color, and family attribute.
