Energy
Unit Overview:
For students to gain understanding of all the different forms of energy. The students will research different forms of energy and present them to the class to gain knowledge on all types of energy. The students will use mathematical representations to represent certain energy transfers as well as create energy flow diagrams to show the change in energy.
Personal Achievement:
This topic I have learn about the different types of energy. One thing that I’m proud of achieving for this unit is my poster by learning all the information that I have learned and present in front of class and gain all new information at the same time. One energy that I have focused on so far is thermal energy. However, I have struggled using mathematical representations.
Enduring Understanding:
Thermal energy- Energy created by heat and moving of the particles.
Nuclear energy- Energy created by from splitting or fusing atoms.
Potential energy- Energy stored in an object before it has been used.
Kinetic energy- Energy created by motions.
Electrical energy- Energy that form electric through a conductor.
Sound energy- Energy created by vibrations.
Gravitational energy, created by earth gravity.
Mechanical energy is connected with motion and the position of an object.
Electrochemical the electrons transfer to electrical energy.
Electromagnetic made of vibration of electricity.
Chemical energy is energy that stored in in chemical bonds of atoms and molecule.
